Scene 1:

old jeans and baggy t-shirts are
original sin
washing my face with holy water and Clearasil
i am made clean
my new skin--painted on with care
is flawless
tighter fits and lower cuts absolve me. they are  my
innocence

Scene 2:

apology accepted.

Scene 3:

at 24, here are the things I cannot do:
take "constructive" criticism
(i'm far too sensitive, you say)
drive
(i'm simply not ready, you say)
understand where you're coming from
